Stars, Stripes & Standards

The Independence Day Weekend Open Stage

📅 Sunday, July 5, 2026 🕖 6:00 – 8:00 PM 📍 The Cascades at South Park 🎟 Free · No Ticket Required

Stars, Stripes & Standards is Jazzmania Live's Independence Day weekend show — an outdoor open stage at The Cascades at Stone Manse the Sunday after the Fourth of July. The fireworks are over, the cookouts are leftovers, and the long weekend has one more evening in it. We fill it with live jazz.

The wordplay is on purpose: 'standards' is jazz vocabulary for the great American songbook, and the great American songbook is what built the music. The set leans into those tunes — Gershwin, Ellington, Cole Porter — alongside originals and the kind of program that suits a relaxed Sunday-evening crowd recovering from the Fourth. Jazzmania holds the rhythm section and core lineup, with room for guest players and developing artists to sit in.

Free admission, no tickets required. The show runs 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the waterfall pavilion in Allegheny County's South Park. Bring a folding chair, a blanket, snacks, and the kids. Dogs on leash are welcome on the lawn. Streams live and free on The Encore for anyone who can't make it.
