August Moon Jazz is one of the late-summer highlights of Jazzmania Live's 2026 outdoor Encore series at The Cascades at Stone Manse, the waterfall pavilion inside Allegheny County's South Park. The August moon hangs lower and softer than midsummer, the days are still long but tipping toward fall, and the music meets the moment.
The ensemble plays a full set program of standards and originals as the August evening rolls into night — the kind of program that holds an outdoor crowd from the first tune through dusk. The Cascades is one of South Park's most beloved spots for outdoor music: open lawn, mature trees, the sound of moving water, and a covered pavilion behind the band.
Free admission, no tickets required. The show runs 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Family-friendly. Bring a folding chair, a blanket, snacks, and the kids. Dogs on leash are welcome on the lawn. Streams live and free on The Encore for anyone who can't make it to South Park in person.
